Norwich indie studio SHUCK announces debut game Yule Dads, a PS2-era skate-game love letter set in a Christmas mall
Chaotic multiplayer party game launches on Steam on 27 November.
Norwich, UK – 27 November 2026
Independent studio SHUCK today announced that Yule Dads, a chaotic multiplayer party game in which dads ride shopping trolleys around a Christmas mall, will launch on Steam for PC on 27 November 2026 at £5.69. Players race for the last presents before closing time, grinding rails and pulling tricks along the way.
Yule Dads is a love letter to the skateboarding games of the PS2 era. Players will grind handrails, escalators and balconies, land tricks with names like the Corkscrooge, Yule Log and Rudolph Nosegrind, and drift corners for speed boosts. Up to eight players can compete online, and up to four can play together locally.
Party mode combines gift hunts with 13 minigames, including Snowball Fight, Hot Coal, Grind Gauntlet and Capture the Candycane. Further modes include Man Flu, in which one player starts infected and everyone they touch joins them, as well as Free Ride, Time Attack, Style Attack and more. Optional rules such as low gravity and big heads let players customise the chaos. The soundtrack features indie punk bands from Norwich.
Players can wishlist Yule Dads on Steam now.
